High School Chemistry Teachers

Each year, the South Plains Section of the American Chemical Society recognizes an outstanding chemistry teacher that has demonstrated excellence in the classroom. If you received this award (or know someone that received the award) in one of the years that is blank, please contact the current ACSSPS secretary so that we may update the record. The outstanding teacher will be recognized at the ACSSPS spring banquet in April and will receive a cash award and memento.

Public or private high school teachers that have taught chemistry for at least three years and are currently teaching chemistry are encouraged to apply. Teachers must submit their OWN nomination. You may not submit a nomination on behalf of someone else. Feel free to forward the application link to a teacher that you think should apply. The deadline to apply is March 10, 2024.
