The South Plains Section of the American Chemical Society and the Texas Tech Student Affiliate of the American Chemical Society hosted a “Tailgate” on Oct. 11 in front of the chemistry building on the TTU campus. The theme for the event was “The hidden Life of Spices”. Participants tasted cinnamon and ginger, enjoyed some vanilla ice cream made with liquid nitrogen and made some art work using Turmeric and baking soda.
